An aircraft participating in the Dubai Airshow crashed on Friday, sending thick plumes of smoke rising over the site.
CNN cameras at the event captured the smoke and the swift arrival of police and emergency teams at the scene.
Dubai’s Media Office confirmed in a statement that an Indian Air Force pilot was killed when his Tejas multirole fighter jet crashed during an aerial display at the airshow. Authorities responded immediately to the incident.
