Tunisia and Algeria Finalize Preparations for High Joint Committee Session

Tunisian Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Nafti and Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf co-chaired the Preparatory Follow-up Committee meeting of the Tunisian-Algerian High Joint Committee on 11 December 2025 in Tunis. The session brought together representatives from various ministries and institutions involved in bilateral cooperation.

During a bilateral meeting, both ministers reaffirmed the deep and historic ties between Tunisia and Algeria, stressing their leaders’ shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in line with the aspirations of both peoples for security, stability, and development.

The Follow-up Committee reviewed progress ahead of the 23rd session of the High Joint Committee, scheduled for 12 December 2025 in Tunis, to be co-chaired by Tunisia’s Head of Government, Sarra Zaafrani Zenzeri, and Algerian Prime Minister Saifi Gharib. Discussions focused on advancing existing cooperation files, exploring new avenues of partnership in priority sectors, and updating the legal framework governing bilateral relations.

At the end of the meeting, the two ministers agreed to present the committee’s outcomes to the High Joint Committee.
