UTICA President Meets Côte d’Ivoire Ambassador to Strengthen Economic Ties

Samir Majoul, President of the Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (UTICA), received the Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire to Tunisia, Niamké E. Benjamin Malan, on Tuesday, 17 February 2026, at UTICA headquarters in Tunis.

Discussions focused on boosting bilateral economic relations, with an emphasis on investment as a key driver of sustainable value creation and trade growth. The meeting highlighted shared ties within the Francophone space, Côte d’Ivoire’s strategic role in West Africa, and opportunities to expand the presence of Tunisian companies.

Both sides also explored joint projects across Africa, cooperation in strategic sectors such as agriculture, energy, water management and digitalization, and the importance of advancing African economic integration toward a barrier-free common market.
