Bizerte: Tunisian Navy Rescues 12 Algerian Migrants from Drowning

On Thursday, February 6, 2025, Tunisian Navy units swiftly responded to an emergency distress call regarding a malfunctioning boat stranded at sea and taking on water. The vessel was carrying 12 irregular migrants from Skikda, Algeria, according to a security source.

The same source confirmed that the navy units reached the specified location near Jalta Island, off the coast of Bizerte, and successfully rescued all passengers. The migrants were then transferred and handed over to the Maritime Guard in Tabarka, Jendouba Governorate, for legal procedures.
