Tunisian and Ukrainian Foreign Ministers Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti, received a phone call on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from his Ukrainian counterpart, Andriy Sybiha.

The discussion focused on strengthening Tunisian-Ukrainian cooperation, particularly in economic, commercial, and academic fields. Both sides emphasized the importance of boosting bilateral trade, especially in cereals and phosphates, according to a statement by the Tunisian Foreign Ministry.

Regarding the Ukrainian crisis, Minister Nafti reaffirmed Tunisia’s support for international efforts to end the conflict based on international law, the UN Charter, and political dialogue. He also underscored the need for greater global solidarity in support of the Palestinian people and their inalienable rights.
