Tunisia and China Sign MoU to Strengthen Healthcare Cooperation

On February 26, 2025, Tunisian Health Minister Dr. Mustafa Al-Farjani and Chinese Health Minister Dr. Lei Haichao met to discuss enhancing bilateral healthcare collaboration. They agreed on key projects, including the creation of a Tunisian-Chinese cardiovascular center, the first Tunisian-Chinese Health Forum in North Africa, and advancements in telemedicine, personalized medicine, and artificial intelligence.

A memorandum of understanding was signed to further strengthen cooperation, focusing on public health policies, training, and improving healthcare infrastructure in Tunisia. Both ministers expressed commitment to expanding their partnership, with China continuing support for Tunisia’s healthcare sector.
