Tunisia and Czech Republic Discuss Strengthening Tourism Cooperation

On March 10, 2025, Tunisia’s Minister of Tourism, Sofiane Taqi, met with Czech Ambassador Richard Kadlcak to discuss boosting bilateral cooperation in tourism and traditional industries.

The Tunisian minister highlighted the importance of exchanging expertise, particularly in glass, ceramics, and pottery, and called for stronger promotion of Tunisian handicrafts through international exhibitions. He also emphasized the need for a direct flight between the Czech Republic and Tozeur-Tabarka to attract more tourists beyond beach destinations.

Ambassador Kadlcak praised the growing number of Czech visitors to Tunisia and commended local tour operators for successfully marketing the country as a diverse and promising tourist destination.
