Tunisia’s Phosphate Exports Rise by 9% in Early 2025

The National Institute of Statistics has announced a 9% increase in Tunisia’s phosphate and phosphate derivatives exports during January and February 2025, highlighting an improvement in the performance of this strategic sector.

Tunisia aims to boost its phosphate production to 14 million tons annually by 2030 while increasing factory operating capacity to 80%. The development plan includes the establishment of new industrial units and support for the “Mdhilla 2” project to enhance the added value of the phosphate sector.
