Tunisia to Launch Weekly Voluntary Repatriation Flights for Sub-Saharan Migrants

Starting May 2025, Tunisia will organize weekly voluntary repatriation flights for undocumented Sub-Saharan African migrants, according to the spokesperson for the General Directorate of National Security.

On Thursday, April 24, the fourth voluntary departure flight took off from Tunis-Carthage International Airport, carrying 149 Guinean nationals.

It is noted that many migrants are also returning home voluntarily via regular commercial flights, coordinated with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), according to the same source.
