On April 26, 2025, Tunisia and Kuwait signed a bilateral air transport agreement to enhance civil aviation cooperation. The signing ceremony took place in Tunis and was attended by officials from both countries, including the Tunisian Minister of Transport, Rached Amari, as well as a group of Kuwaiti officials such as the head of civil aviation and Kuwait‘s ambassador.
Minister Amari emphasized the deep ties between Tunisia and Kuwait while expressing Tunisia‘s eagerness to resume direct flights with Kuwait. He also acknowledged Kuwait‘s role as a supporter for the success of many Tunisian development projects.
The Chief of Civil Aviation in Kuwait, Sheikh Hamoud Al-Sabah, regarded the agreement as a means of expanding bilateral cooperation, also mentioning opportunities to facilitate air cargo routes, while recognizing the talent and skills of the Tunisian workforce.
