A First in Tunisia: Medical Students Graduate After Full Program in English

For the first time in Tunisia, a group of medical students has graduated after completing their entire education in English.

Mohamed Ben Dhiab, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine in Sousse, announced on Friday, May 2, 2025, the graduation of the first cohort of medical students who pursued both phases of their studies exclusively in English.

Speaking to national radio, Dean Ben Dhiab stated that the graduating class includes 14 students, most of whom are Tunisian.

He highlighted that studying medicine in English opens new doors for students, particularly in terms of access to international research labs, scientific collaboration, and expanded career opportunities.
