Tunisian Foreign Minister Reaffirms Tunisia’s Support for Iran and Palestine

Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti, reaffirmed Tunisia’s unwavering support for both the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Palestinian people during his participation in the Extraordinary Session of the Arab League Council, held at the ministerial level in Istanbul.

The session, convened in response to the recent Israeli aggression against Iran, highlighted the growing instability in the region. Minister Nafti condemned what he described as a “treacherous Zionist aggression,” labeling it yet another act in a series of ongoing and escalating violations by the Zionist entity. He underscored Tunisia’s full solidarity with Iran and all nations in the region, emphasizing the need to uphold the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.

Calling for the enforcement of international laws and charters, Minister Nafti stressed the importance of collective action to preserve peace and stability in the region and beyond. He also renewed Tunisia’s strong commitment to the Palestinian cause, denouncing the continuing genocide against the Palestinian people and calling for an end to the humanitarian blockade in the occupied territories.

During his visit, Minister Nafti also held bilateral meetings with several of his Arab counterparts, discussing the broader implications of the regional escalation and the need for unified diplomatic efforts to ensure lasting security and justice in the Arab and Islamic world.
