Tunisian Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Nafti met with Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor to U.S. President Donald Trump on Arab, Middle Eastern, and African Affairs, during his official visit to Tunisia on July 22-23.
The meeting reaffirmed the historic and enduring partnership between Tunisia and the United States, dating back over 228 years. Both sides expressed a strong commitment to deepening bilateral ties, especially in trade, investment, and development.
Minister Nafti encouraged U.S. investment in Tunisia’s strategic sectors and called for greater support to the Tunisian diaspora in the United States. Boulos emphasized Washington’s commitment to strengthening cooperation across all sectors, both bilaterally and through multilateral efforts.
Regional developments were also discussed, including the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the political situation in Libya. Both parties stressed the urgency of delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza and supporting a UN-led political resolution in Libya that preserves its unity and stability.
