Tunisia and Angola Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Tunis, 11 August 2025 — Tunisian Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Nafti and his Angolan counterpart Téte António discussed ways to strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation in a phone call on Monday. The talks focused on expanding ties in ICT, higher education, scientific research, agriculture, and renewable energy, as well as promoting trade under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

The ministers stressed the importance of activating their Joint Committee and holding its first session soon. Nafti praised Angola’s role as African Union chair in advancing peace, security, and development across the continent.
