Chinese technology giant Lenovo announced on Tuesday its plans to establish a regional headquarters in Saudi Arabia, in a move aimed at strengthening its presence in the Middle East, according to Reuters.
In a statement, the company said it has appointed Lawrence Yu as head of the new office in the Kingdom, without disclosing further details about the headquarters.
Lenovo’s expansion in Saudi Arabia follows its January announcement that it will begin producing millions of personal computers and servers at its Saudi-based factory starting in 2026, after the Kingdom invested $2 billion in the Chinese manufacturing giant.
