Tunisian Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Nafti participated on September 4, 2025, in the 164th session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level in Cairo, held alongside a consultative meeting on regional security and cooperation.
Nafti stressed that Arab security requires ending atrocities against the Palestinian people and called for implementing the Arab-Islamic plan with UN support, noting the session coincided with the Arab League’s 80th anniversary.
The meeting reaffirmed the centrality of the Palestinian cause, condemned Israeli crimes in Gaza and the West Bank, rejected the “Greater Israel” vision, and urged the UN Security Council to act under Chapter VII to halt violence, allow aid into Gaza, and prevent Palestinian displacement.
