Tunisian President Receives Iranian Foreign Minister at Carthage Palace

Tunis, September 10, 2025 – President Kais Saied received Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Wednesday at Carthage Palace.

The talks focused on regional developments, particularly the situation in occupied Palestine. President Saied reaffirmed Tunisia’s firm support for the Palestinian people’s right to recover their land and establish an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, condemning what he described as ongoing “genocide and daily crimes.”

Beyond regional issues, Saied recalled the historic ties between Tunisia and Iran and underlined the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in economic, cultural, scientific, and tourism fields to serve the interests of both nations.
