Morocco Imposes Temporary E-Visa for Tunisians Ahead of AFCON 2025

The Consulate General of Morocco in Tunis announced on Friday, September 19, 2025, that Moroccan authorities have exceptionally introduced a temporary electronic visa (AEVM) for nationals of visa-exempt countries, including Tunisia.

The measure will be in effect from September 25, 2025, until January 25, 2026, as part of preparations for the 35th Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025), to be hosted in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.

Tunisian fans wishing to attend AFCON matches are required to apply for the e-visa via the “YALLA” app, developed by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation. Applications for tourism, business, family visits, and other purposes must be submitted at least 96 hours before travel through the official portal: www.acces-maroc.ma.

The consulate noted that the measure does not apply to holders of diplomatic, service, or official passports, legal residents of Morocco, airport transit passengers, spouses of Moroccan nationals (with proof of marriage), and individuals aged 55 and above.
