Tunisian Business Delegation Explores Reconstruction Opportunities in Libya

From 22 to 24 September 2025, a Tunisian business delegation in construction and public works visited Tripoli, Zliten, and Tajoura on a trade mission organized by the Export Promotion Center (Cepex) with Tunisia’s Embassy in Libya.

The mission included an economic forum in Zliten, chaired by Libyan Economy Minister Mohamed Ali Al-Hweij and Tunisian chargé d’affaires Mohamed Habib Sassi, bringing together officials and business leaders from both sides.

Talks focused on boosting Tunisian companies’ presence in Libya amid major reconstruction projects, easing procedures, and expanding trade. Over 30 B2B meetings were held, with Libyan counterparts praising Tunisian products and services.

The delegation, representing six companies, also met public and private partners in Tajoura to explore cooperation in construction, energy, fisheries, pharmaceuticals, hospital equipment, and IT.
