Tunisia Launches Renewable Hydrogen Complex

The Director General of the Gabès Industrial and Technological Hub Management Company, Abdelrazak Jdidi, announced the creation of the Tunisia Complex for Renewable Hydrogen and Its Derivatives on Monday. The announcement was made during the International Symposium on Green Hydrogen and Its Derivatives, held in Gabès.

In a statement to the Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP) agency, Jdidi explained that the complex was organized as an initiative by the Gabès Industrial and Technological Hub Management Company, in collaboration with several economic and academic institutions, as well as the French Embassy in Tunisia.

The newly established complex comprises eight members and aims to bolster the scientific, technical, regulatory, and legislative capacities of stakeholders involved in the production of green hydrogen and its derivatives. It will also support scientific research, technological innovation, and advancements in this field.

The complex plans to expand its membership to include additional stakeholders, further enhancing its role in advancing Tunisia’s green hydrogen initiatives.
