Tunisia, Algeria: Discussing Bilateral Relations and Security Council Role

On January 2, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti received a phone call from his Algerian counterpart, Ahmed Attaf.

The two ministers exchanged greetings for the new administrative year and discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance cooperation on regional issues, particularly in the Arab world, according to a statement by the Tunisian Foreign Ministry.

Minister Attaf also outlined Algeria’s plans for its presidency of the Security Council in January. Minister Nafti expressed Tunisia’s support for Algeria’s efforts in promoting peace and security and wished it success in its role at the Council.
