Tunisian and Egyptian Presidents Discuss Bilateral Ties and Regional Issues

Tunisian President Kais Saied and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi had a phone conversation on March 10.

The two presidents reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in economic and trade cooperation. They also discussed regional issues, including the Gaza crisis, with Saied praising Egypt’s efforts in securing a ceasefire and supporting the Arab reconstruction plan. Both leaders rejected the forced displacement of Palestinians, emphasizing the need for a Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders.

The call also addressed the situations in Libya and Syria, with both presidents stressing their support for the unity and stability of both nations.
