Tunisia Reaffirms Commitment to Women’s Rights at UN Women’s Commission Session

Tunisia is participating in the 69th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women in New York, led by Minister Asma Jabri.

In her March 12 speech, Minister Jabri emphasized Tunisia’s efforts to strengthen women’s rights, ensure equal citizenship, and promote economic and social inclusion, particularly for rural women and those with disabilities.

The Tunisian Minister highlighted key legislative advancements, including laws on combating violence against women, maternity and paternity leave, and social protection for female agricultural workers.
