Norway Establishes Diplomatic Relations with Palestine, and Welcomes its Ambassador

Norway has officially established diplomatic relations with the State of Palestine, marking a significant development in bilateral ties. The move was formalized during a ceremony at the Royal Palace in Oslo, on Thursday, where newly appointed Palestinian ambassador Marie Sedin presented her credentials to His Majesty King Harald.

This step signifies Norway’s commitment to supporting diplomatic engagement and peaceful dialogue in the Middle East, especially amid the ongoing Israeli military campaign in Gaza. The establishment of formal relations will allow for the creation of a Palestinian diplomatic mission in Norway and paves the way for closer cooperation between the two nations.
