Tunisia Participates in the 78th World Health Assembly in Geneva

Speaking during the 78th World Health Assembly in Geneva on 20 May 2025, Tunisian Health Minister Dr. Mustapha Ferjani emphasized Tunisia’s engagement in shaping international and global health policy.

He reiterated Tunisia’s early endorsement of a pandemic treaty ensuring equitable access to health resources, or any treaty, and expressed his appreciation for Tunisia’s selection as one of six countries in Africa to acquire the technologies for producing mRNA vaccines.

Dr. Ferjani also called for international awareness and action regarding the worsening health crisis in Gaza, stressing the need for an end to the blockade as well as reiterating Tunisia’s staunch commitment to Palestinian rights.
