On June 3, 2025, Tunisian Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Nafti met with Finnish President Alexander Stubb in Helsinki as part of a working visit aimed at strengthening cooperation. Nafti delivered a message from President Kais Saied, inviting his Finnish counterpart to visit Tunisia and reaffirming Tunisia’s commitment to deepening ties with Finland and the European Union.

The visit included a meeting with Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen, where both sides agreed to expand collaboration in energy, technology, green economy, and women’s empowerment. A roadmap for political dialogue and regular coordination between the two ministries was also set.

Nafti co-chaired a business forum with Finnish officials and Tunisian and Finnish business leaders, promoting investment opportunities and highlighting Tunisia’s economic reforms. A cooperation agreement was signed between Tunisia’s CONECT and Finland’s FINNCHAM chambers of commerce.

He also met with members of the Tunisian community in Finland, pledging improved consular services and encouraging greater engagement in Tunisia’s development.
