Tunisia and Oman Discuss Strengthening Industrial and Investment Cooperation

On June 18, 2025, Tunisia’s Minister of Industry, Mines, and Energy, Fatma Thabet Chiboub, met with a high-level Omani delegation led by Saleh bin Saeed Masan, Undersecretary of the Omani Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion.

The discussions focused on boosting bilateral cooperation, exploring industrial integration, and identifying investment opportunities in both countries.

Key topics included collaboration in standards, industrial property, and support for future partnerships. Minister Chiboub reaffirmed Tunisia’s commitment to attracting Omani investments, highlighting government support for such initiatives.

Mr. Masan praised Tunisia’s industrial progress, especially in automotive components, and expressed interest in deeper cooperation, including with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), in line with Tunisia’s 2035 strategy and Oman’s Vision 2040.

The Omani delegation’s visit, running until June 20, includes field visits to Tunisian institutions to gain firsthand insight into the country’s industrial experience.
