Türkiye Ends Commercial Relations and Air Links with Israel

Türkiye announced on Friday, August 29, 2025, that it has ended all commercial relations with Israel and closed its airspace to Israeli aircraft in response to the war in Gaza.

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan told parliament that Turkish ships will no longer access Israeli ports and stressed Ankara’s opposition to any plans to displace Palestinians from Gaza. He added that more countries are now convinced the two-state solution is the only path forward.
