Tunisian Industry Minister Attends African Car Expo in Algiers

Tunisian Minister of Industry, Mines, and Energy, Fatma Thabet Chiboub, took part on Friday, September 5, in the first edition of the African Car Exhibition held in Algiers. The event was organized alongside the 4th Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025), inaugurated a day earlier by Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune in the presence of Tunisian President Kais Saied and several Arab and African leaders.

The Tunisian pavilion highlighted industrial firms, startups, and support institutions, while the wider event brought together 27 major automotive brands, including Hyundai, Nissan, Volkswagen, Porsche, and Stellantis.

Running from September 4 to 10 in Algiers as part of IATF 2025, the exhibition also hosted workshops on strengthening Africa’s manufacturing sector. IATF, organized by Afreximbank and the African Union, gathers 2,000 exhibitors from 80 countries to promote trade and investment under the African Continental Free Trade Area.
