Tunisia and Japan Review Progress in Bilateral Cooperation

Tunisian Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Nafti met on Tuesday, 18 November 2025, with Japan’s Ambassador to Tunisia, Takeshi Osuga, who paid a farewell visit at the end of his mission.

Minister Nafti praised the strong Tunisian-Japanese friendship and thanked Ambassador Osuga for his efforts to advance bilateral cooperation. He also wished him success in his future diplomatic assignments.

The meeting included a brief review of key areas of cooperation in economic, financial and technical fields, ahead of upcoming milestones such as the 12th Tunisian-Japanese Joint Committee and the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

Ambassador Osuga expressed appreciation for Tunisia’s support throughout his tenure and reaffirmed Japan’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with Tunisia.
