Tunisia opened the second Mediterranean Artificial Intelligence Conference on 20–21 November 2025 at the City of Culture, bringing together officials, experts, and startups from across the region.
Minister of Communication Technologies Sofiene Hemmassi stressed Tunisia’s focus on responsible AI to improve public services while protecting privacy and digital sovereignty. He also highlighted the need to prepare workers for the changing job market.
French envoy Nadia Hai called for stronger regional cooperation and ethical data use, while Tunisian Health Minister Dr. Mostapha Ferjani underlined AI’s growing role in digital health and the importance of training medical staff.
The event features discussions on AI innovation, ethics, regulation, and regional collaboration, along with an exhibition showcasing solutions from emerging tech companies.
