Speaking in Addis Ababa, Tunisia’s Minister of Health Mustapha Ferjani took part in high-level talks on health financing and security on the sidelines of the 39th Ordinary Summit of the African Union from February 12 to 15.

He also attended a Regional Steering Committee meeting at the invitation of Africa CDC, as Tunisia currently chairs the North Africa region. Ferjani reaffirmed Tunisia’s commitment to strengthening Africa’s health security through local production of medicines and vaccines, closer cooperation with Africa CDC and the African Medicines Agency, and expanded knowledge-sharing.

He also called for innovative and sustainable health financing tools, highlighting Tunisia’s active role in promoting accessible healthcare and faster health responses across Africa.
