Tunisia and Cuba Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthening Bilateral Relations

Tunis, November 3, 2025 — Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti, met with Cuban Ambassador Mariem Martinez Laurel at the Ministry headquarters on the occasion of the end of her mission in Tunisia.

During the meeting, both sides highlighted the strong ties between Tunisia and Cuba and reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation in various sectors, including health, education, training, culture, tourism, and trade—particularly in promoting Tunisian olive oil exports and enhancing collaboration in the pharmaceutical industry.

Minister Nafti praised the Ambassador’s efforts to foster closer relations between the two countries, while Ambassador Martinez Laurel expressed her gratitude for Tunisia’s support and emphasized Cuba’s determination to continue strengthening bilateral cooperation in the interest of both nations.
