Tunisia Reaffirms Commitment to Active Diplomacy

Tunis, November 12, 2025 – During a joint session of the Assembly of the Representatives of the People and the National Council of Regions and Districts, Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Nafti reaffirmed Tunisia’s commitment to an active diplomacy that supports development, defends national interests, and promotes just causes.

Presenting the Ministry’s mission under the 2026 State Budget, Nafti said Tunisia’s foreign policy is based on sovereignty, reciprocity, and mutual respect, aiming to strengthen the country’s regional and international role.

He highlighted priorities such as economic diplomacy, attracting investment, expanding cooperation, and promoting Tunisian products abroad. Nafti also emphasized Tunisia’s support for the Palestinian cause and its call for global reforms that favor developing nations.

The Minister reaffirmed Tunisia’s balanced approach to migration, combining humanitarian and security aspects, and stressed continued efforts to enhance services for Tunisians abroad and reinforce the country’s international presence.
