Tunisia and Italy Discuss Boosting Tourism Cooperation

Riyadh, November 12, 2025 – On the sidelines of the 26th General Assembly of the UN Tourism Organization held in Riyadh, Tunisian Minister of Tourism Sofien Tekia met with his Italian counterpart to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and expand partnership in tourism and traditional industries.

The two ministers reviewed Tunisia’s participation in tourism and handicraft exhibitions in Italy and emphasized the need to enhance professional exchanges, develop skills in the tourism sector, and update the existing memorandum of understanding.

They also agreed to increase joint promotional efforts to attract more Italian tourists and highlight Tunisia’s diverse tourism offerings.
