The 2026 Times Higher Education World University Rankings have once again placed the University of Oxford at the top—marking a full decade of dominance.
The United States continues to lead globally, with seven of the world’s top ten universities, while the remaining three spots go to institutions in the United Kingdom.
According to the report, Asian universities maintained stable positions for the third year in a row. China’s Tsinghua University stayed at 12th place, while Peking University rose only one rank over the same period to hold 13th place for the second consecutive year. The National University of Singapore also held its position at 17th.
