Tunis, 24 November 2025 — Tunisia’s Minister of National Defense, Khaled Sehili, met on Monday with Lieutenant General Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Ghuraibi, Chief of Staff of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, at the Ministry of Defense headquarters.
The meeting focused on strengthening military cooperation between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia, expanding bilateral coordination, and exploring new areas of collaboration. Minister Sehili praised the progress achieved in joint military efforts, emphasizing the shared commitment to elevating cooperation to its highest levels, as well as the strong alignment between the two countries on regional and international issues.
He highlighted the importance of developing new avenues of partnership in naval training, maritime security, exchange of expertise and visits, as well as intelligence sharing to counter cross-border threats. Sehili also confirmed preparations for the sixth session of the Tunisian-Saudi Joint Military Committee, to be held in Tunisia this December.
For his part, Lt. Gen. Al-Ghuraibi expressed his appreciation for the positive state of cooperation between the two nations and reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s desire to further strengthen military ties in service of common interests and deep-rooted bilateral relations.
