Tunis Chosen as Arab Tourism Capital for 2027

Tunis has been selected as the Arab Tourism Capital for 2027 during the 28th Arab Ministerial Council for Tourism, held in Baghdad on 9 December 2025.

The award highlights the city’s rich cultural and historical heritage, along with its artistic, architectural, and creative strengths. It also reflects international recognition of Tunis’s dynamism, following its inclusion in UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network in 2026.
