Algerian Arrivals to Tunisia via Kasserine Border Crossings Rise in 2025

The overall number of Algerian visitors entering Tunisia through land border crossings in Kasserine governorate recorded a notable increase in 2025 compared to 2024, according to official figures.

More than half a million Algerian arrivals were registered through the Bouchebka and Haidra border crossings during 2025 up to November, up from around 440,000 arrivals in 2024.

At the Bouchebka crossing alone, arrivals rose from 255,000 in 2024 to more than 291,000 by November 2025, marking a growth rate of nearly 14%. While the first months of the year saw a decline in arrivals, numbers began to recover from April and increased sharply during the summer and early autumn, with September, October, and November recording peak crossings.
