France Cancels 140 Flights in Paris Due to Snowfall

Around 140 flights were cancelled in Paris on Wednesday morning after heavy snowfall disrupted air travel. According to French Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot, about 100 flights were cancelled at Charles de Gaulle Airport and 40 at Orly Airport.

Snow and ice covered northern and western parts of France in a rare weather event, causing some public bus services to stop and partially disrupting train operations. However, metro systems continued to run.

Authorities placed 38 regions on weather alert as snow accumulation reached between 3 and 7 centimeters. The severe cold conditions have been linked to six deaths across the country.
