Senegal Triumphs at AFCON 2026 After Dramatic Win Over Morocco

Senegal won their second Africa Cup of Nations title after a 1–0 extra-time victory over hosts Morocco in Rabat. The final turned late in regulation time when Morocco’s Brahim Díaz missed a penalty, saved by goalkeeper Édouard Mendy.

Senegal capitalized early in extra time, with Papa Gueye scoring the decisive goal. The Lions of Teranga then held on to seal the title, sparking celebrations in Dakar and across the country.
