Tunisia’s Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ben Ayed, received on January 21, 2026, Nadia Hai, French Ambassador and Ministerial Delegate for the Mediterranean, in the presence of France’s Ambassador to Tunisia, Anne Guéguen.
The meeting reviewed the success of the second Mediterranean Forum on Artificial Intelligence, hosted by Tunisia in November 2025, and stressed the importance of translating its outcomes into concrete initiatives ahead of the next edition to be held in France. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in artificial intelligence across the Mediterranean region.
Nadia Hai praised Tunisia’s organization of the forum, highlighting its scientific leadership and the recognized excellence of its human resources at both regional and international levels. For his part, Ben Ayed reaffirmed Tunisia’s commitment to revitalizing Mediterranean cooperation through a comprehensive and pragmatic approach addressing shared challenges, particularly migration, while emphasizing the importance of scientific exchanges and the promotion of the blue economy as a driver of sustainable development.
