Tunisian FM Holds Talks with GCC Ambassadors Amid Middle East Tensions

Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad Mohamed Ali Nafti received on March 17, 2026, at the ministry’s headquarters, the ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries accredited to Tunisia, namely the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Kuwait, the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Sultanate of Oman, and the United Arab Emirates.

The meeting provided an opportunity to reaffirm the fraternal ties of cooperation and partnership between Tunisia and the GCC member states, as well as to review the latest developments in the Arab Gulf and Middle East regions and the serious repercussions these developments pose to regional and international security and stability.

The minister reiterated Tunisia’s commitment to the principles of international law and its firm rejection of any attacks targeting brotherly nations, violating their sovereignty, or threatening their territories and resources. In this context, he expressed Tunisia’s full solidarity with the GCC countries and praised the continued care and support provided to members of the Tunisian community residing in those states.

For their part, the GCC ambassadors expressed their appreciation for Tunisia’s supportive stance and affirmed their commitment to continued consultation and coordination to put an end to the violations affecting the security and stability of their countries.
