Data from aviation tracking platforms show that Qatar Airways is gradually restoring its flight network following a sharp decline in operations due to the recent U.S.-Israel-Iran conflict.
Analysis by Al Jazeera’s Open Source Unit using FlightRadar data revealed that the airline operated 122 flights on March 23, up from around 54 flights in mid-March—nearly doubling within a week, signaling a clear acceleration in recovery.
The data also highlighted that Qatar Airways’ operations had nearly come to a halt at the start of March, with only three flights recorded on March 1 and two on March 2. The number of daily flights then surged to 135 on March 18, marking the highest operational level since the outbreak of the conflict in late February.
