Tunisian and Egyptian Foreign Ministers Strengthen Ties and Address Regional Challenges

On December 25, 2024, Tunisian Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Nafti met with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty in Cairo to enhance bilateral relations. They celebrated recent progress since President Kaïs Saïed’s 2021 visit to Egypt and agreed to deepen cooperation in trade and investment.

The two foreign ministers discussed regional developments, emphasizing the need for coordinated efforts to ensure stability. Nafti reaffirmed Tunisia’s support for Gaza, urging a ceasefire, humanitarian aid, and recognition of Palestinian rights, including statehood.
