Over 10 Million Tourists Visit Tunisia in 2024, Says Minister of Tourism

On Wednesday, January 15, Tunisia’s Minister of Tourism, Sofiane Taqi, presided over the 44th General Assembly of the Arab States Broadcasting Union, held in Yasmine Hammamet.

In a statement to the media, the minister revealed that the tourism sector achieved record-breaking numbers in 2024, welcoming over 10.25 million visitors. He described the year as exceptional for Tunisia’s tourism industry.

Minister Taqi emphasized the importance of Tunisia’s ranking among the world’s top 25 tourist destinations, calling for intensified efforts to further develop the sector. He outlined plans to enhance overall service quality, diversify Tunisia’s tourism offerings, and implement specialized programs to attract a broader range of visitors.
