Italian Ambassador: ‘Tanit’ Project to Tackle Climate Change

Italian Ambassador to Tunisia, Alessandro Prunas, stressed the need to address climate change to ensure food security and combat drought.

He highlighted the « Tanit » project, which focuses on three key pillars: improving the use of non-traditional water in agriculture, revitalizing drought-affected areas (covering around 12,000 hectares), and establishing a joint research and training center.

This center will bring together experts from both countries to develop innovative solutions for water scarcity and agricultural sustainability.
