Microsoft Confirms: Skype to End Its Services in May

Skype, once a leading video-calling platform with millions of users, will shut down in May, Microsoft announced.

The service played a key role in popularizing online voice and video calls, making global communication free and accessible.

Skype stated on X that users can migrate their chats and contacts to Microsoft Teams. Microsoft, which acquired Skype in 2011 for $8.5 billion (£6.1 billion), has not commented further.
