On April 2, 2025, Mohamed Ben Ayed, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, received Wan Li, China’s Ambassador to Tunisia, at the ministry’s headquarters, to discuss bilateral cooperation.

Talks focused on strengthening ties following the Tunisian President’s 2024 visit to China and recent ministerial visits to Beijing. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to key development projects, including the Aghlabide Medical City in Kairouan.
