Algeria Condemns France’s Visa Policy Shift for Diplomatic Passport Holders

Algeria condemned as a “flagrant violation” Frances implementation of a visa requirement for holders of diplomatic passports claiming such was a violation of the 2013 accord exempting holders of diplomatic passports from the visa requirement.

The Algerian Foreign Ministry has claimed that they have not received any official notification from Paris, and they would respond based on the principle of reciprocity.

The statement released on Monday came after French right-wing media reported that the French authorities had applied a visa requirement to any Algerian official who hold a diplomatic or a special mission passport.
